Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!!

Friends

The people in the world that we meet, most of the time become our acquaintances. Although there are a few that we can consider them to be our friends. There many who say they have many friends, but when you think about it... there are only so many, you count in your hand. These are the people that you confide in, that know your most inner secretes and the friend the never leaves. I have come to know many people and I can honestly say that I have 5 people in my life, that no matter my choices they have always been there for me.

I have written this poem, with those people in mind...

The Friend That Knows You

Here's to a friend that knows you,

The one whose name will be left unknown.

The friend who wipes your tears,

Who sought to hold your hand...

When others left you alone,

Where beginning doesn't exist, only the end.

This friend is whom you turn to,

The one you call friend.

The friend laughs with you,

And cries with you.

The friend felt it was his/her duty

To always remind you of how much you're worth,

And to show all your inner beauty.

While other's eyes dwelled only...,

Upon the toughness, that the outer shell exposed.

They saw a girl with no fear, nor happiness,

But not seeing that when they turned,

The girl was left to whisper, while others didn't care.

The friend held your secrets to her/his heart,

This friend you could share.

Your friend never left you alone,

But now they are moving on.

For all the memories shared,

While we each take our paths.

Time will ease the pain,

But we each hold each others grace to the heart.

When you call them friends,

They saw the beginning to the end...!

This friends live near and far, but there is nothing that will change the love we share. 

No matter how far, I can count on them to be there. Since we are so close to  Valentine's Day, this is my message. 

Happy Valentine's Day, I hope that everyone has someone to share this day with. Be it your family, a loved one or just your friend. Don't let your fears keep you from sharing in this. Always remember to share the love, not only on Valentine but everyday.

Life's Little Curve Balls

You see, life has this tendencies of trowing curve balls when we least expect it. It does that just to keep us in our toes. This just happened recently to me. As soon as you figure out a plan to get things done, guess what... it never works that way. My boyfriend and I were hoping to finish fixing the car this weekend. When lo and behold that was not the plan. He came to pick me up and as we are three streets from his house....the car breaks down right in the middle of a elevated road, past the railroad tracks. UGH!!!! Granted we got slightly upset. But when I look back, it wasn't so bad. We got to spent sometime talking of what we needed to do. I actually had some fun that night. Would I wish that on anyone....No, I wouldn't. If it had happened with someone else completely, I am sure I would have not had as much patience as I did then. All I know is, if I had to get stuck in the middle of the road, I rather do it with my man than anyone else.

Susan Polis Schutz had the right words to express how import is to have a believe in yourself. So many people roam the world without a purpose in life, because they lack the one thing that keeps our dreams going. To Believe that something is real, can only be made within ourselves. Without believing in himself Thomas Edison would not have made the Light Bulb and many of his others work. So many great people have made a difference in the world, because they believed they could make a difference. This all started out with having the believe in themselves first. We will only achieve our dreams, as long as we hold on to them. We will always be able to make a difference, as long as we believe we can.

Affliction

Job 23:10
When he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

Affliction can be a means of refining and of purification. Just as one must pass through the refiner's furnance before it can yeild it's gold, so our lives must sometimes pass through God's furnance of affliction before they can bring forth something beautiful and useful to Him.

We might never have had the songs of Fanny Crosby, had she not been afflictated with blindness.


George Matherson would never given the world his immortal song, "o Love That Will Not Let Me Go", had he not been on the pain of personal tragedy and heartache

The "Hallelujah Chorus" was written by Handel, when he was proverty-stricken and suffering from a paralyzed right side and right arm.

This affliction can also make us stronger in our faith and develop our confidence in God's care over us. It may also drive us back to the right path when we wandered.

David said: "Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word. Psamls 119:67"

Whatever the reason, if God sends affliction your way, take it in faith as a blessing and not a curse. Everything thrown in our lifes makes us better, regardless if is a good thing or bad. The choices we make with what we are given, has the potential to change our lifes.

My Best Friend

Wow... I has been almost a year since I have not written anything on my blog. Any way, the past year was calm not many things have happened.

My best friend has written a book and I have been busy helping her. She is an amazing person, and I love her with all my heart. She was and still is one if the many people I can rely on when I need someone to listen. She has helped me grow in many ways and for her, I am thankful that I have become the person that I am. We meet people everyday, but there's always that one person in our life that we have come across, that will change our life forever. They make us want to be better people and no matter how hard we try to deny or pretend that it won't change anything, they leave their mark in our life for better or worse. She has made my life better and I am glad for it. I came across a poem she had given me and it say:

My Favorite Friend!

Whenever I think of my favorite friend,
My heart smiles once, then over again.

If one of us hurts, the other is there;
If one has no money, the other will share.

If one has problem and can't find the way,
The other is there with something to say.

There's no doubt about it, I know I am blessed
To have found a sweet friend who is truly the best!

Be aware of those around, because you will never know when one comes and leaves their mark on you forever. Treasure the friends or family you have, because one day they won't be there anymore.
